Chapter Building
Launching a Civic Roots chapter is a powerful way to bring civil rights education to your school or community. Once approved, chapter founders receive guidance, mentorship, and resources to help them begin their work. Follow the steps below to get started:
1. Complete the Chapter Application Form (linked below) to be considered for approval as an official Civic Roots chapter.
2. Wait for Approval. If you receive a positive decision from our team, you’ll officially be cleared to start your chapter.
3. Connect With Your Regional Director. They will provide mentoring, onboarding, and ongoing support.
4. Plan Your Launch Event or First Workshop. Choose a topic and begin outlining your program.
5. Promote Your Chapter. Recruit students, volunteers, and community members to participate.

6. Host Your First Program. Afterward, submit a brief report to help us track impact and support your chapter’s growth.
